TED NUGENT Says OBAMA Supporters Voted For 'Economic And Spiritual Suicide'
November 7, 2012Legendary rocker Ted Nugent has commented on the election of President Barack Obama to a second term Tuesday, calling voters who re-elected Obama "soulless fools" who voted for "economic and spiritual suicide." In a series of tweets, he also blamed "pimps whores & welfare brats" and "subhuman varmints" for re-electing a President who will "destroy America" and force others to "pay for their obesity booze cellphones birthcontrol abortions & lives."
Nugent made headlines earlier in the year after he made comments that some perceived as a threat against President Barack Obama.
While attending the National Rifle Association convention on April 14 in St. Louis, Missouri, Nugent, who has endorsed Mitt Romney in the general election, said, among other things, "If you don't know that our government is wiping its ass with the constitution, you're living under a rock. . . I'll tell you this right now: if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year. . . Our president, and attorney general, our vice president, Hillary Clinton — they're criminals. We're Americans because we defied the king. . . We are patriots, we are bravehearts. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"
Nugent told conservative radio host Glenn Beck the comments were in no way a physical threat toward Obama. He reiterated that again in a statement he released the following day.
"By no stretch of the imagination did I threaten anyone's life, or hint at violence or mayhem," Nugent wrote. "Metaphors needn't be explained to educated people."
Ted Nugent told The Pulse Of Radio that he can't believe how anything he says seems to be automatically cast in a negative light. "I mean, it's just insanity how they immediately reduce everything I do to homophobic, sexist, racist, and shameless self-promotion," he said.
